What is TomoriBot?
TomoriBot is a free and open-source AI agent and roleplaying system for Discord. The project aims to bring personal AI companions and role-play characters right into Discord servers, inspired by SillyTavern and Discord’s discontinued Clyde. Simply put, she (or it) is an agentic + roleplaying harness for AIs put into Discord:

Read as Tomo(友)-Ri(里), roughly meaning “Home of Friends”, Tomori is a home for your very own practical assistant(s), customizable companion(s), and/or role-play partner(s) for in DMs, or for everyone in your Discord server. She is also built with beginners in mind, so those new with AI agents can learn with her too.

What can TomoriBot do?
Multiple Personas
Run several custom characters in one server, each with their own settings, memories, and avatars. Watch them coordinate (or mess around) with each other!
Persistent Memory
Make your Tomori grow by teaching her facts about people and your server. She remembers across conversations, and personal memories follow you between servers.
Media Generation
Generate/edit images, short videos, and spoken voice messages right in chat from a prompt or through reference.
Agentic Tools
TomoriBot can autonomously web search, schedule reminders, block users, utilize custom MCP tools, and more.
Fully Local Setup
Create your own privately owned setup with local LLMs, ComfyUI, SearXNG, local voice servers, and MCPs.
Server Moderation
Add admin controls for cost and safety: quotas, channel and role whitelists, thought logs, and BYOK requirements.
200+ Commands
Hundreds of native Discord slash commands for deeper customization, ranging from prompts used to permissions granted.
SillyTavern Support
Import SillyTavern prompt presets and character cards to bring existing instructions and characters straight into Discord.
